  9. I  fell  in  love  with this guy right
  10. from  the  start,  because  the tune I
  11. heard  was  very  different  from  the
  12. others.  It was called 'Acid Jazz'(not
  13. 'Acid Jazz I'/Diesel) and it was funky
  14. indeed.   He is the only musician that
  15. tries  to  make  jazz without doing it
  16. the 'one-sample'-way, and I must admit
  17. that he succeed.  I received very many
  18. tunes  from  Spaceman,  and there is a
  19. special   touch   in  all  his  songs.
  20. Velomatrix,  Time  for  loving, Nassum
  21. Pelmiti,  Bloe  Job,  the list of nice
  22. songs can be made very long.
  23. Generally  about  Spaceman can be said
  24. that  when  he  uses  good samples, he
  25. also  puts them to good use.  But when
  26. he,  like  in  Jordan  Jazz, Breath of
  27. Air,  Acid  Jazz  1&2,  puts  down the
  28. samplerate  so  that  he  can use more
  29. samples, the idea often tends to fail.
  30. Spaceman seems to be very experienced,
  31. because  he  often  knows  how to make
  32. simple  sequences  that he plays again
  33. and  again without making them boring.
  34. Most  often in his tunes, there are no
  35. especially  hard  things,  but  he  is
  36. aware  of  that  and  doesn't  try  to
  37. change  it.   He  does a very straight
  38. music, it often sounds as if he's just
  39. put   some   notes  together  in  some
  40. minutes, when he'd nothing else to do.
  41. But  he's good at it and the result is
  42. most often very nice.
  43. ¶I  think  that  together  with Bjorn A
  44. Lynne,  this is the best melody-maker;
  45. many  of his melodies go right to your
  46. head and stay there.

  51. favourite!   If  he's made a song to a
  52. demo,  I  just have to lay my hands on
  53. it.    What  has  Spaceman  NOT  done?
  54. Techno  (okay  it was ass-quality, but
  55. anyway),   hardrock,   trance,   funk,
  56. ballads...    Legalise   It  1  is  my
  57. absolute favourite musicdisk, and even
  58. though  the  follow-up wasn't as good,
  59. it contained a lot of nice bonus-songs
  60. that  I liked very much.  I can make a
  61. list  of  favourite tunes that is VERY
  62. long, but I won't waste your time with
  63. it.   I'm  longing  for the day when I
  64. have Legalise it 3 in my hands!!
